Udval Altangerel is a Mongolian filmmaker based between Ulaanbaatar and Los Angeles. In her work she explores the themes of personal and national histories, language, and (home)land. Her work has screened at Locarno Film Festival, Images Festival, Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival, and Tacoma Film Festival, where she received Honorable Mention for Best Documentary Short Film. Udval received her MFA in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts.
